SCAAVO FOUNDED
14 men from Mollina decide to join forces and create what is now known as the Sociedad Cooperativa Andaluza Agrícola Virgen de la Oliva (SCAAVO)
1984
JOINED MALAGA’S REGULATORY COUNCIL FOR WINE
The Cooperative joins as a member of Malaga’s Regulatory Council for Wine with still wines and liqueur under the Malaga Designation of Origin
1987
START OF THE MOLLINA GRAPE HARVEST FAIR
The first Mollina Grape Harvest Fair is held. This fair arises from collaboration between the City of Mollina and SCAAVO to observe a social celebration as a showcase for the town
1987
CREATION OF THE SEASONING SECTION
The Seasoning section was created with an initial capacity of 1,000,000 kg. It currently has a storage capacity of 6,500,000 kg and four discharge lines
1989
CREATION OF THE OLIVE PRESSING SECTION
This section is associated with the second-degree Cooperative Oleoestepa, which includes 19 olive oil presses in Andalusia with more than 60,000 hectares of integrated production that ensures the sustainability and traceability of the crop

CREATION OF THE CREDIT SECTION
Since its creation, its activity has focused on obtaining financing for the Cooperative and offering the best interest rates to members

ACQUISITION OF BODEGA SCHOLD
SCAAVO acquires the historic Bodega Schold for wine ageing and vintage with DOP Malaga to begin its wine-growing journey and the subsequent marketing of its wines in 1993
1999-2000
CREATION OF CULTIVATION SITES
From 1990 to 2000, the Regional Government of Andalusia creates test sites with 10 white varieties and 10 red varieties to test how they adapt to the climate and the soil
2001
APPROVAL OF THE SIERRAS DE MÁLAGA DESIGNATION OF ORIGIN
Given the increasing demand for still wines (white, fruity, and red), the Sierras de Málaga Designation of Origin is approved, becoming part of the Regulatory Council

We celebrated with the commemoration and recognition of all partners for their commitment over the first 25 years of activity

CREATION OF THE SUPPLIES SECTION
It is created as a new area of activity with the aim of marketing phytosanitary and hardware products, a food store, and a fuel pump service for members and clients
