BODEGAS CARPE DIEM

Bodegas Carpe Diem was founded following the acquisition of the historic Bodega Schold for aging and wine production, originally located in the capital of Malaga.

From 1977 to 1993, the wine was marketed in bulk for different wineries in the province. In 1993, thanks to the initiative and intense work done by SCAAVO and its partners, Bodegas Carpe Diem was created, and the first bottled wines were launched with the support of the Gadea Tinto, Montespejo Blanco, and Carpe Diem variants.

SCAAVO BODEGAS CARPE DIEM

Bodegas Carpe Diem has an exquisite variety of wines under two designations of origin: DOP Malaga, for naturally sweet wines and liqueur wines, as is the case with Carpe Diem; and DOP Sierras de Málaga, for white, red, and rosé wines, such as Montespejo.

The winery covers an area of 20,000 m2 and has a 5,040,0000-litre capacity for red, white, and sweet wines, as well as a 250,000-litre capacity for American oak and French oak cask wines.

Our vineyards are located 500 meters above sea level, which supports the cultivation and maturation of the vine thanks to the continental climate and average annual rainfall of 500 litres. These conditions yield excellent grape quality; the fruit is harvested once it is at optimal ripeness. The process is done entirely by hand, so we are sure to obtain grapes of the highest quality and condition.

Date of action on October 1, 2021. To this end, it had the support of the Malaga Chamber of Commerce’s InnoCámaras 2020 Programme.”
